Message Oil starvation does not mean you are right. It could be that the tolerances on the bearings were a bit close and caused an oiling issue at high rpm. It could also mean that there was trash in the oil journals that caused an oiling issue at high rpms. Blackened journals does not mean that your theory is right.

Yes, I declined the warranty. It was a lack of confidence in the builder; I do not trust the competency of who assembled the motor originally and am more than willing to spend my $$$ to have it fixed on my own. I have purchased nothing but the best for this buildup; your assistance is nolonger desired.

Let's make sure that we have this straight though. What I have had a problem with is the lack of ownership to stand behind your product. You have certainly done a good job of typing warranty, warranty, warranty enough but that in no way makes up for your initial attitude of shrugging your shoulders. To be redundant as you have been let me reiterate: IF YOU HAD STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE IMMEDIATELY AND OFFERED SOME DAMN ASSISTANCE, I would have declined it and left it at that. No one should have to beg initially for a warranty to someone who has taken buckets of their money. Did you expect me to show up hat in hand groveling for your help? Please. Besides, all your customers have to do is look at the elaborate Gremlin story that you have put forth as the cause of our engine problem to see what a challenge it will be to get any FREE warranty.

Truly, your warranty should simple read: If it starts and makes it past the first 100 miles, then our backing of the motor is at an end. Or, a coupon that reads: "Good for one dyno pull only". You could rationalize ANY situation that has happened to a motor to keep you from extending a FREE warranty; just look at the dandy with my motor.

An update to the website indicating the type of oil required and a limitation on rpms and a limitation of dyno operator needs to happen. I particularly liked the one about having to have used Snythetic oil for the warranty to apply.

Anyone who takes the time to read through this tremendously petty post can get a glimpse of exactly what they can expect if they have an issue with service after the sale.

Please, tell me more of the warranty I refused.

B.
